• Profile information such as your username, bio, and avatar
• Build data including component selections, pricing, photos, and descriptions
• Comments and votes you leave on other users' builds

We also automatically collect usage information such as pages visited, browser type, and IP address through standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the VanRig platform
• To display your published builds to the community
• To send you notifications about activity on your builds (saves, votes, comments)
• To improve the platform and develop new features
• To respond to support requests

3. Third-Party Services

VanRig uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google account

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

4. Affiliate Links

VanRig contains affiliate links to third-party retailers such as Amazon. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may collect information about your visit according to their own privacy policy. VanRig earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links at no additional cost to you.

5. Cookies

VanRig uses cookies solely for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. Build photos are stored in Supabase Storage. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies, and secure authentication tokens. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Update or correct your profile information at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data through your account settings
• Unpublish any of your builds at any time

8. Children's Privacy

VanRig is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
